Peter and Bobby Farrelly finally deliver their long-gestating reboot of The Three Stooges with this 20th Century Fox production. Working from a script they penned with Mike Cerrone (Me, Myself & Irene), the brothers' comedic take on the trio is not a biopic, but rather a sampling of new slapstick adventures set in the present day. Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, and Chris Diamantopoulos star as, respectively, Larry, Curly, and Moe. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi
Great, wonderful comedy. These guys did a superb job. I laughed so hard I was in tears. It is definitely a must see repeatedly. I do believe I will buy this one.
2 Nyuks, and that's being generous. Hollywood - there are just some things you should not mess with because you will just muck it up, and Larry, Curly, and Moe are one of them. What's next, Laurel and Hardy? DON'T !
For those of us who have ever watched the original Three Stooges, this movie may be a bit of a disappointment. Although it does offer a few laughs and
entertainment, it simply doesn't compare to the original films starring Moe, Larry and Curly. I must say however that the characters in the film
surprisingly resemble the original comedy trio in both looks and behavior. No doubt everything was well-rehearsed. My favorite scene was in the hospital with the newborns. But I'll stop there so as not to spoil the film.
All in all, it's fairly amusing, but only worth watching once.
