You're Gonna Miss Me director Keven McAlester shifts his focus from the troubled mind of a rock 'n' roll legend to the frail psyche of the American middle-class by exploring the lives of three devoted Dungeons and Dragons enthusiasts who find the harsh realities of life impeding on their rich worlds of fantasy. Aspiring novelist Scott possesses a sharp wit and an active imagination. But when Scott's writing career fails to pay off, the strain of supporting his family finds him retreating into a land of orks and elementals. Overall cool movie. If youre wanting a perfect movie on the lives of D&D "game masters" then you probably will be dissapointed. But the movie is sort of entertaining. I say rent it.

Yea I agree with the other reviews. It seems as though they sought out the biggest losers within the sub-culture to feature in this documentary. I swear that the people that I used to know that played D&D were not this pathetic. THis movie is really depressing.

Boring. Turns out the real lives of average losers is pretty boring. I found some of it be mildly interesting, but I turned it off about an hour into it.

Roll a saving throw to avoid falling asleep. If you are expecting a D&D version of "Trekkies", you will be disappointed. I found it to be a depressing look at fantasy lives of 3 gamers whose real lives suck.
