Marvel Studios delivers the ultimate comic-book film, which ties together such characters as Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) for a big-screen franchise team-up like no other. Taking center stage this time is Nick Fury (played once again by the note-perfect Samuel L. Jackson), leader of the peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Fury, along with former Russian spy Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), recruits a super team to combat Thor's ever-deceptive brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) after he brainwashes ace archer Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) while stealing a cosmic cube from an underground base. Thus the heroes must learn to work together alongside outlaw scientist Bruce Banner (Ruffalo), who can track down the artifact's gamma signals when he's not hulking out into a giant green monster. Awsome, Excellent story, great action, 3-d great and laffed my but off.

Finally a film worthy of me paying top dollar for. I saw it in 3D and I have to say, even at 2 1/2 hours long, I wanted more. I haven't been this pumped up after seeing a movie since the final Harry Potter film. There is a very funny part between the Hulk and Thor that almost made me fall out of my seat and had the whole theater laughing. Packed with action, Visual effects, Technology and fight scenes. Watch towards the end and see if you can spot Stan Lee. Also, stay at the end for not one but two add ons. One is an extension of the movie ( most had left by then ) and the other is at the very end of the credits and was strange. Of course they left it open for another movie in case it does well ( DUH ) and I think we will for sure see that next movie and I cannot wait.

What a film... First of all, who have Robert acting as dumb as he was, the first chris (evans) dosen't know what the real world is like and the otehr his just a repeat. then MArk acts like he knows every little and samuel being bossy. Tom HIddleson was apsolutly chilling. About the action, the film was drenched in it, and the comedy was hilarious. overall this film jumped me out. Worth the wait to 9\25\12? Yes

if you are or was ever a marvel heroes fan, you will love this movie. Lots of action and some comedy. Hope they make a part two.

This is a brilliant culmination of Marvel's movies. All of the characters share screen time. You get to see the heroes battle one another then let loose on Loki's army. There is very little 'cheese factor.' It entertains comic book fan and non-comic book fan alike. The violence is a little much for the little ones. Other than that, everyone shows what s/he can do and more. It's fun a mile a minute!

    Nice mix of action and comedy... not a thought-provoking film, but that is not what it is supposed to be! Definitely watch each character's background movie before you see this (Iron Man 1 & 2, Thor, Capt. America and The Incredible Hulk). Having further character development in the individual movies gave the Director some more freedom with the action here, and you did not feel like you were missing out on much with the characters (excluding Hawkeye and Black Widow). Just have fun watching it... that's what it is for.
