This movie is lot's of fun, especially for nostalgic General Hospital Fans. All the old favorites have cameo's, Micheal Richards before Seinfeld. And most of the cast from 1982 General Hospital, including Janie Turner and Demi Moore.
I loved this movie the first time I saw it, I still love it, enough to buy it. It's truly amazing to learn how many soap stars didn't even get credit for their roles. I think all but one are GH alum, as I recall, don't blink or you'll miss Susan Lucci!
When I saw this movie in 1983 or so, I thought it was hilarious. Watching it today, however, I could see how time had taken its toll. But the genius is still there, it's just that we've grown accustomed to seeing jokes and pranks at faster, more furious rate. It was great to see all the Garry Marshall favorites, especially Hector Elizondo punctuating everything he says with the "ef" word (his masquerade as a female was reminiscent of Some LIke It Hot). Pam Reed, as always, was great, bringing her unique style to the screen--whatever happened to her? I miss her.
