It's awful! This movie sets a new standard in ineptness, and possibly introduces a new genre, the "unwatchable" movie. From the first weird sequence where you think you've pushed the Special Features button instead of the Play Movie button, it's the only movie I ever remember wondering if it had started. I started it three times thinking I had clicked the wrong button on the remote. It was a double disappointment because the rather attractive DVD cover leads one to believe it may be similar to the Indiana Jones movies, which it is not. It's simply a publicity gimmick. I can hardly wait to see Leonard Maltin get hold of this one.

The acting is so bad you can almost know what is going to happen and and when they just stand there and smile to show excitment and the over acting and the waiting for some one to remember to say there lines. And the CGI of something flying I think it really pushed the buget even you could not know what it was flying I guess it was to be locast. And I guess the buget was not looking in any night shots, and the shots in the cave I mean at leat hid the lights in the shots. If they say the move is free I still think it's to much to pay or lose any of your time to see it.

This was one of the worst movies we have ever seen...it was boring, poorly made and a big waste of time...don't waste any of your time watching this movie!

Whether intended or not this movies campy character perform so slow, and the director slowed downs the scenes so much in the cutting room, that I wanted to scream--literally. I finally ended up playing some scenes (oh, were these action scenes?) in fast forward and actually found it was only slightly too fast. Too bad the sound wouldn't play in fast forward or that is how I would recommend watching this movie...however, I don't recommend it at all.

Looks like they shot this African based movie in Texas. It was shot in Africa but, in the most touristy of areas (we're talking well groomed landscapes and everything was ready for family photos). They substituted some stock footage here and there to make up for the total lack of realism in their locations. There wasn't any explanation for anything (some villagers took the head off of one of there own with this alien looking device - it had a look of a large bird talon, was worn like a glove, opened and collapsed on the person's head and when lifted it not only took the head away from the body it was somehow a cleaned skull - no skin, hair, gore or any explanation. The cinematography SUCKED. Too many close ups, and the editor often showed the same three shots three times in a row.

The director came right out and said he spent most of his budget on hauling his production out into the wilds of South Africa to film on location at the site of the original King Solomon Mine. Sadly, that left him with very little money to actually make a movie - and it shows. The best part of the film was the Zulu scenes in which locals from a Zulu re-enactment center are used.

This had to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I like action, adventure movies like Indiana Jones, but this was nothing like it. What a wast of money and time for whoever has seen it.

How does this movie still have two stars? The acting...what am I saying? There was no acting. The plot...nonexistant. The special effects...soap operas have better effects. It's pretty clear they spent 90% of their budget on the box graphics, the other 10% on hard alcohol. One question. Where were the "Skulls" of the "Temple of the Skulls?" Please, please, please, don't waste your time or money.
