The bugs are back in this straight-to-DVD third entry in the Starship Troopers film series, this time with Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) back in the lead after being absent from the first follow up, Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation. Also back is Edward Neumeier, the writer of the original, who takes on the directing reigns with this action-packed installment. Star Trek Enterprise's Jolene Blaylock co-stars in the Stage 6 Films production. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

I'm a big sci-fi fan. But this was horrible. I've better acting in a high school play. Plot was weak. Special effects were 80s-ish. RC Houston TX

I don't know that I've seen a worse movie in my entire life. The plot seemed almost like a Mad Libs outline. Random scenes plastered together. Sudden switches in character by the actors and script. Dialogue that would have sounded silly coming from 10 year olds. I enjoyed the first movie and love anything with action. But this was beyond bad. I finished only to see what bizarre new directions it would go. Just awful

This film, 3rd in the series, was almost too plot-less, stupid and shallow to finish watching. The only actor and role who stayed true to form was "Johnny Ricco". Otherwise, this screenplay by Ed Neumeier quickly devolves into a Christianity-bashing fest. If Neumeier had let it all hang out like this on Islam, he'd have to hide out for the rest of his sorry existence. What a waste.

I was kind of disappointed in this movie. All the previous movies were delightfully campy; this one was just bad.

I thought it was alright but for me I give it a 3 star because well as other people said that the dialog is weak and needs improvement if they want to continue the series. Oh yeah they need to stop with the "Would you like to know more?" I say Would you like to shut up? hmm?

We had high hopes for this one when we saw Casper Van Dien & Jolene Blalock in the lead roles. While the story was not too bad, we decided that it was only slightly better than #2 was. The SFX were okay. Not one we want to add to our collection.

They should have stopped at the first one. Although this one was better than the second, it was downright horrible to any movie fanatic or even a fan of the first one.
