Traumatized writer Samantha Ballard isn't exactly known as a social butterfly, but when her concerned friends and colleagues track the reclusive scribe to an isolated house in the California desert they are terrified to be greeted with a grim announcement: Anyone who attempts to leave the house will suffer a horrific and painful death. This is the typical awful, low budget horror film that used to be at the bottom of the barrel in rental stores until the ultra low budget films started flooding into the stores. The ultra low budgets films look like they were filmed by a camcorder , starring the amateur directors neighbors and friends. The only thing going for this film is , its not one of those ultra low budget messes. It's however really boring and bad. They get some really bland actors, some the usual hot babes and kill them off one by one --- the old formula. The problem is the cheap look of the film and setting, bland actors and effects make it a total waste of time.

I agree with Bill. It gets props for being original. But it was slow and boring and the few good parts didn't make watching it worth it. The SL had great potential, but the movie really falls short.

This was original which earns the majority of the stars and a decent movie. Some really cheesy acting and the typical confusion of a haunted house but overall, worth a watch.

This is a kind of cheesy low budget horror film. If you have nothing else at all to watch, then I would say pop it in. Poor acting low budget special effects but it makes a good filler for nothing else.
