I love Kellie McGillis. I never expected Russell to play such a man. It took me by surprise the first time I saw it. McGillis will break your heart when she says "My arms feel so light." Watch it because it is a good clean movie.

If you like a love story with drama you will enjoy this movie.. It was so real that I cried and I haven't done that while watching a movie in a long time.

This is hands down one of the most moving movies you will ever see. I wasn't alive during the era that is portrayed on the movie, but my mother told me it was like that. Kelly McGillis is exceptional as a rugged country woman who "sees things as they are" and doesn't sugar coat anything. Kurt Russell is the sensitive interest who guides her to a more stable, loving lifestyle. the action between Kelly, Kurt, and his daughter are truly incredible. Everyone I've spoken to who has seen this movie has seen it more than once. Not a dull moment.

This is a well written, well performed drama that I have and would watch more than once. A touching story of a man (Kurt Russell) who lost his wife and seeks to move on with his daughter during the Depression years. You would want Wayland as your friend at the end. Those who oppose him at the beginning, come to respect and accept him as a man of intregrity, courage and talent. Kelly McGillis does a fine job as well ("my arms feel so light"-you'll get it when you see it). Very good story line, action, romance, justice winning at the end. The "keep me entertained and feel good at the end" type of movie I've seen others on this website comment about. MUST SEE!!! I love Kurt Russell, this is one of my favorites of his movies.
