Based on a true story, Disney's family film Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken follows the adventures of a 1920s teenager named Sonora Webster (Gabrielle Anwar), who runs away from her foster home to join a carnival. At the carnival, she gets a job as a stunt rider who leaps with her horse into a tank of water 40 feet below. Along the way, she has plenty of adventures, eventually falling in love with the son of one of the show's cowboys. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi

Since ten year old girls are experts at horse movies, I'll quote my daughter: "This was a fun family movie. All kids will love it. It was an exciting and adventurous movie."

My 7 year old and I watched this movie. Originally got this because she loves horses and ended up with a really good movie.

Growing up in Atlantic City, I went to Steel Pier dozens of times, but was unaware of the story of Senora Webster. If, while it was there until 1970's, you had ever seen the world famous diving horse show at Steel Pier, this is a movie you must see. Not only is it a wonderfully told G-rated story of a girl coming of age in the early 1900s and her love for horses, but it is, with but a couple of fine points, true. The horse stunts were done by the same wrangler that did The Black Stallion, and are truly breathtaking as they are real. Do NOT miss the very, very ending of the film for the jaw dropping conclusion. A true inspiration.

Our family really loved this movie. I've rented it twice. Sonora runs away to become a diving girl, but she is too small and young. She fights for what she wants against all odds. She finally has it all, and then looses her sight. She does triumph over all. Great family movie. Loved it.

Interesting and a good family film. Plot took twist and turns, moved a bit slow at times, but kept watching it to see where it would go. Excellent movie for pre-teens, young teens and their parents. Worth watching.

Looking for a great family movie that is inspirational and has no swearing, potty humor? This is wonderful family entertainment. Anwar was a good actress - the horse jumping scenes are breathtaking and the message is a good one for kids. A must see in YOUR quest for good family films.
