Kenny Rogers guest stars as itinerant musician Denny (Kenny Rogers), former boyfriend of a married woman named Ellen Sawyer (Kathy Baker). Feeling neglected by her workaholic husband Greg (Michael Nouri)--who in time-honored sitcom tradition has forgotten their 20th wedding anniversary--Ellen wishes she had married Denny instead.
