I'm a 50-yr old female, and I saw the non-3D version of this at the theatre with my 22-yr old nephew - we both loved it and would watch it again. The rest of the audience also seemed to enjoy it too. While still a "clean" movie, and same basic core story - (ie he lives with Aunt May/Uncle Ben, still gets bit by a spider, Uncle Ben still dies and Peter blames himself, etc.) - it is all done in a MUCH more hip / fresh way. We liked this cast better, I liked the writing better and lack of cheesiness. The evil guy in this character is done very well - great costume/makeup. Good action. This movie ends with the suggestion there will be another movie with this cast, which will let us in on what happened to Peter's parents -- am looking forward to it! This movie was WELL DONE overall and VERY ENJOYABLE. I would watch this again multiple times (something I couldn't say for the Tobey McGuide versions. Was this review helpful? Yes

the amazing spider-man is far from amazing and just more proof of how desprate hollywood is for a fast buck, this is the 2002 version with a different cast and a new villian but no where near as charming, entertaining, creative or as much fun as the 2002 version stick with toby mguire, its still a pretty fresh franchise to even reboot it just yet Was this review helpful? This was a very good movie. It would also be a good one to watch in 3D as I did, The only down side is the first 30 minutes. It is a total rehash of the Spider-man transition from man to Spider-man. We all know how it happened, why the rehash ( for this reason I give it a 4 out of 5), After that the movie takes off pedal to the metal. Be sure to stay for the credits or you will miss the ending and setup for the next Spider-man. Oh yea, great cast. Was this review helpful? Yes
