Every second counts. Every detail matters. Every 3-11 p.m. third-watch shift brings a rush of risk, fear, and lives in the balance. From producers John Wells (ER, The West Wing) and Edward Allen Bernero (Criminal Minds) comes this action-packed drama about the brave and dedicated people who serve as police, paramedics, and firefighters. For them, keeping the streets safe and answering cries for help is all in a day's work. The 22-episode debut season of Third Watch rolls out on six discs, capturing all the kinetic intensity of its 1999-2000 debut season. Hit the streets with these professional rescuers -- and experience day-in, day-out heroism at its most exciting and intense.
This series is one I enjoyed when it was new. I have received it and still like it as much. The fact that combined the police with the FD EMS is was makes this one of the best shows of it's type
Lots of people have never heard of this show- and that always makes me so sad because it was one of the best shows on tv in the last decade. There are so many characters in this show, and you like almost all of them. Most shows have only a few likable, or at least intriguing characters- not this one. This one has lots :) Not only that, but its so interesting how you see a combination of police, paramedics and firefighters. The combination keeps you on your toes and the stories are never boring! If you have never seen this show- please put it in your queue- you wont regret it. More than likely, you'll become just like the rest of us, salivating for the release of the rest of the seasons on dvd!
This was by far the best show ever. If you are in Fire,Rescue or Law Enforcement, then you will enjoy this. It is so realistic with all the Medic terms, Fire Dept. and Law Enforcement. I just wish BB would get all the seasons.
This is a great show. There was very few times that the show didn't leave you wanting more, you couldn't wait until the next week to see what was going to happen. When I saw it was on A & E, I recorded it on my DVR and was able to watch without the commercials. It was great, I even got my husband interested and he's hard to please. I can't understand why this didn't get any emmy awards over the years.
I never watched the show until the last season. If the last season was any indication of the rest of the series this first season set is worth the watch. The character are solid and likeable for the most part and the story line is better than any other crime dramas that were aired at the same time.
Season One: disc 3 and 4 were badly damaged and would not play completely through. Missed 1/2 of disc 4 altogether. CD cleaner for disc and player didn't help. The series however, is wonderful! As a nurse I enjoy all the medical action. Very realistic with lots of interaction between the police, paramedics, firefighters, and doctors and nurses. Excellent medical drama!
A great show that was canceled way too early. Had the numbers, was well reviewed, just the big corporate heads don't know what they are talking about, just like with Southland. Great great show, just wish I could find Seasons 3 through the end somewhere to buy.
