Taking inspiration from Morgan Spurlock's Super Size Me, Michael Blieden's documentary Super High Me charts what happens to comedian Doug Benson as he spends thirty days smoking marijuana. Benson also abstains from the drug for thirty days so that the movie can highlight the various differences between clean-living and waking and baking. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi
Absolutely awesome doc. If you like to learn about weed, like to watch people smoke it, and don't find it offensive, this is the movie for you.
If you DO find weed offensive than don't watch it because you will not appreciate it at all.
The only possible way this could have been better is I had done the entire experiment myself!! :)
This movie was much funnier than I expected. Doug Benson is a kick and anybody who has smoked or does smoke will appreciate his humor. His experiment doesn't really prove anything, but to his credit, he seems to understand that his 30-off/30-on is more of a lark than a serious study. He does cite some statistics and facts to support the legalization of marijuana, but I felt he could have gone much farther to really develop a strong argument. He chooses to keep it pretty light, though, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as it lends itself well to his brand of comedy.
Sort of a comedic documentary. We thought it was funny. It was also enlightening to see the dispensaries in Calfornia and the struggle of state vs. federal law.
Our comedian intersperses his stand up comedy routine throughout the 60 days. Many times hilariously good fun. The before and after tests show him doing even better while high! During the 60 days, many days are sort of boring. Welcome to the real world. Overall, it is an interesting, educational and fun documentary film.
PS: If taxed, cannabis would end the financial problems of the state of California.
Hmmmm. I don't know if I liked this movie or not. As a documentary, it was mildly interesting. The comedic aspect of the movie was less than an enhancement to the overall viewing experience. A funnier comedian would have made this more entertaining. I surmise that if someone were to smoke up before watching this, they would appreciate it more than I did.
move was funny yet very interesting. lets face it lots of people smoke and there seems to be no harmful side effects. this movie shows one guys dtory of smoking pot for a whole month straight and not smoking for a whole month as well
I tried three times to watch this film and fell asleep each time. I never bothered to finish it and have no idea how it ended, nor do I care. There were a few interesting details. Nothing useful. The guy's act was horrible.
