Member Rating:
The early '70s rock band Cactus rose out of the ashes of psychedelic rock group Vanilla Fudge, when the earlier outfit's two-man rhythm section -- Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert -- teamed up with guitarist Jim McCarty and vocalist Rusty Day for a new boogie rock incarnation. Cactus only lasted three years, but attained critical recognition for its two studio releases in 1970 and 1971, before folding in 1972. The release Cactus: Live finds the outfit reuniting for a live set -- their first concert together in over 30 years -- and playing such group signatures as "Cactus Boogie," "Let Me Swim" and "Parchment Farm." ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
