Used Cars (1980)
Member Rating:
Used Cars is one of Robert Zemeckis' pre-Roger Rabbit and pre-Forrest Gump efforts starring Kurt Russell is a devious car salesman who goes to work for affable but monumentally unsuccessful used car dealer Jack Warden. Warden's principal rival is his more prosperous twin brother, also played by Warden, who schemes to take over the "good" brother's lot. After a series of raunchy vignettes, the film boils down to an every-man-for-himself price war between the two Wardens, which rages on even after we're one Warden short. The supporting cast of Used Cars is populated by such reliables as David L. Lander, Michael McKean, Al Lewis, Dub Taylor, Dick Miller and Betty Thomas. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Funny as hell! Not recieved well in 1980, but has become a cult classic over the years(for a good reason). You don't get 'em like this anymore. A Youthful Zemeckis directs his funniest movie ever. If you like Warden(who plays a double role) or Russel, this is a must see. Did I sell it?

Once in a while this movie is unnecessarily raunchy but not enough for me to not recommend it to anyone. The comedy is built on unscrupulous people stepping over each other, from local officials to back stabbing brothers. But no moral or political agenda is intended here. It’s just a fun movie to watch.

This movie as held up over the years, and is still funny - mainly because it is K Russells best comic performance. And we all dread having to do battle with car salesmen, but I promise none will be as outrageous as Mr Russell. It will cheer you up.

Used Cars is a flick filmed in 1980. Sleazy as it gets. If you've ever sold cars, it's amusing, otherwise, it's probibly not. Everyone should see it.... once... maybe...

This movie was terrible from the beginning. The language was a complete turn-off so I shut it off after ten minutes.

It was a great movie, especially if you like Kurt Russel's older works. Also has some really great cars in a wide variety for the car buffs out there.

Super Cheesy, and not funny AT ALLl! It's as if they got to the set each day and then decided what they are going to do for that day!! I stopped it at about 45 Minutes.
