Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, and Tadanobu Asano co-star in a comic-book adventure from acclaimed director Kenneth Branagh. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
for seeing up to my un expectations, I love this movie, because it;s funny, action packed, cool. Thor isn't the best, hero, but tom hiddleston stole the show
How does this only have 3 and a half stars? Did you all watch the same movie I did? It was made for the theaters so maybe some haters had a little 20' screen they saw it on for the first time. This movie is Epic and if you love Marvel and love Thor then you will love this movie!
I rented this movie because my daughter told me it was really funny. I have to admit there were a few pretty funny mini-scenes, but there were a lot more missed opportunities.
Marvel comics produced this movie and that is pretty obvious. There are feats of superhuman ability and a heart-touching moment of humanity for the title character. In the end, like a good Marvel flik, it left things open for some sort of sequel.
However, some of the unrealistic scenarios (mainly here on earth), coupled with the awkward lack of chemistry between the two main characters, brought this movie down a notch or two. It wasn't terrible, but the comic book would have made better sense.
This is not the type of movie I usually like, but I was pleasantly surprised. This movie had great special effects, but also humor and an interesting storyline. I loved the Loki character (stole the show) and really just everything about this movie.
Much better than most have given credit to. The reviews were the reason I put off getting this. Just goes to show you that you can't really believe what others are saying. Or maybe it is just "to each his own." In any event, the wife and I both enjoyed this movie and the storyline.
This was a steping out type movie about the future and I was so glad enjoyed very much , Mr. Hopskins was wonderful and he played the king just great and thor his boy great movie with unknown cast a must see.
