The hit cable series Sex and the City catwalks its way onto the big screen in this feature-film continuation that fans all over have been clamoring for. Sarah Jessica Parker returns once again as Carrie Bradshaw, the style-maven journalist whose romantic exploits were the key focus of the show. Also reprising their roles are Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, with the series' executive producer Michael Patrick King taking on writing and directing duties. Several years have passed since viewers last saw Carrie and company, though she's still involved with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and completely consumed by her obsession for name-brand accessories. Meanwhile, Miranda is adjusting to married life and motherhood, Charlotte is still clinging to her dreams, and Samantha and handsome, steely eyed TV star Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) are now living together out in L.A. Of course, when the girls all come together, it's just like old times. Dreamgirls' Jennifer Hudson co-stars as Carrie's assistant. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
I absolutely loved it! Being an SATC fan, I expected so much and the hype this movie has generated the past few weeks, I was afraid to be disappointed. This is by far one of the best movies I have seen in a while; it continued to follow the characters so well, had comic relief in places where you felt a certain character's pain, it was everything you want and more. I was really impressed and this movie was a perfect ending to an era that IS and WILL ALWAYS BE the legacy that these 4 ladies will leave in NYC and American culture.
If you Love SATC then you will love this movie. Characters remain true to form and it depicts the close and unbreakable bond between the four ladies. And they all of course look fabulous.
Anyone that is a fan will agree that this movie was AWESOME. Just as the series, it is very funny, smart, and edgy. I love watching it over and over again.
My wife and I did not think that this movie was all the great. What it reminded us of was a bunch of the series shows put together to make a movie. We will have to watch another and then decide if we want to watch anymore.
