Betty Suarez is smart, sweet and hard working. They only problem is that she s not thin and beautiful like all her co-workers at Mode, the high-fashion magazine where she works. The only reason the publisher hired her to be his son s secretary is that he thought Betty was someone who Daniel would never sleep with. Betty s hard work and determination earns Daniel s respect, as she helps him find his way through the shark infested waters of the fashion industry.

Ugly Betty is a really good show,filled with lifes dramas and laughs.if your looking for a laugh then this is the right match for you

As of 03/03/2012 still Ditto: Fun to watch and a great cast, Mark and Amanda being my faves in cast.. their comical timing is exquisite, I am revisiting the whole series Seasons 1 thru 4 and enjoying it all over again, still a very good sitcom.

I normally don't watch network TV shows, mostly because I hate commercials and partly because I don't watch much television at all. I stayed at my mother's a few months ago and she has no cable TV so I was stuck watching shows with her and saw this. I was enthralled even though I was in season three or four, and had no clue what was going on. Its a comedy soap opera sort of show. I bought season one for my son for easter (he loves the show and likes to collect his favorite TV show series on DVD) and I watched it with him. Now i'm just sad I'm almost done watching what is available on DVD until September when the next season hits DVD.

There is something for everyone! Fashion, tough guys, sad moments, laugh-out-loud moments, intrigue! New York! everywhere! Guy problems, girl problems, family problems! WELL WRITTEN CHARACTERS! GIVE IT A TRY! You won't want to just watch 1 episode!

I wish I could give this season more than 5 stars. It is full of juicy drama and wonderful plot lines. There are mysteries and secrets galore. The only downside is that it takes forever for the plot to progress. I would have a hard time watching this one episode at a time.
