Sherman's March (2007)
Member Rating:
As helmed by Rick King and adapted from the memoirs of General William Tecumseh Sherman, the 2007 History Channel documentary Sherman's March recounts the details of the famous "march to the sea" by General Sherman in November 1864. The program details Sherman's mission, which involved destroying the Confederacy's ability to wage war successfully by carving a violent, bloody swath through the American southeast with the help of 100,000 Civil War soldiers. King reveals how Sherman and his men accomplished their goals with great aplomb by pillaging, burning and destroying everything in their path. In telling the story, King pulls from combination of dramatic reenactments and the written accounts of participants in the actual event. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
