'Take the 'A' Train' and 'Let Me Off Uptown,' (which Anita O'Day and Roy Eldidge sing with Gene Krupa). Rare footage shouldn't disappear. I couldn't wait to WATCH Cab Calloway perform 'Minnie The Moocher,' and Louis Jordan's 'Honey Chile' is hysterical! SEEING legends Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, and Lionel Hampton - always a treat! I'd never seen The Treniers before, but it's obvious they inspired the Rat Pack's stage personas. Lena Horne's one selection is not her best, but many of her later, more polished performances are preserved elsewhere. This digs into the treasure vaults, even if restoration efforts weren't done on a couple tracks. Get your zoot suit, and swing!
