This gentle comedy drama explores aspects of love and relationships by featuring two parallel tales, both occurring in the same Vermont town. In one, the boredom faced by a married pair of high-school sweethearts leads to the destruction of their marriage. At the same time, their closest friend finally finds the love of his life. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

The movie is of course similar to Paradise with Melanie Griffin but with a lot more comedy. I always enjoy Don Johnson's work and he does get better with age. I had forgotten how beautiful Susan Sarandon was when she was younger. If you are a D.J. fan this one is worse the watch

This movie falls short of its potential. Susan Sarandon definitely has had better acting gigs; say, "Shall We Dance?". The whole story hinges on Don Johnson's character, Wiley, wanting to ditch his wife and kids and become a playboy. He proceeds to act like an immature, irresponsible jerk with the hormones of a 13-yr old. Then, at the end, naturally, he misses them and wants to come home. The transition from bored family man to playboy and back to devoted husband and father simply isn't convincing. Sarandon is lackluster. Jeff Daniels is the best part of this movie. Watch it for him.
