Droopy was perhaps the most famous character Tex Avery created for M-G-M's animation department and this collection celebrates some of the most wacky and insane cartoons ever made. As the title implies, this is all the Droopy theatrical cartoons and for the animation fan, this is 24 cartoons of pure uncut and unedited heaven. The cartoons are presented in chronological order, so you can see the progress of Droopy. And for all you CinemaScope purists, the final seven cartoons on Disc 2 are in Anamorphic Widescreen. The only minor complaint I have with this collection is that they shouldn't have made "Millionaire Droopy" (Disc 2)a shot by shot remake of "Wags to Riches" (Disc 1). But all in all, a great collection to add to your DVD library. Now if Warner could only put out "M-G-M Cartoons: The CinemaScope Collection", I think we could all be happy...
