There are two 90 minute CBC episodes on this dvd, about US war planes being ferried from New Foundland to England in 1940 & Liane Balaban in a love triangle. High quality film, good story & pace.

i really enjoyed this film...it's a sweet love story for the women & then 1940 planes for the men...It really is a good film....and it is 3 hrs long...but worth the watch....

An interesting look at perhaps a little known part of the Allied effort during WWII.

I guess I didn't enjoy this mini-series as much as the other reviewers since I rated it just okay. As has been said, Jason Priestley is in it just briefly, so to say he "stars" in it is an exaggeration. The only other name actor is Richard E. Grant, and he is quite good. Oh, there's Joss Ackland -- but his portrayal of Winston Churchill is almost painful to watch. The story is interesting, and assuming the moviemakers didn't play loose with historical accuracy, I can at least say I learned something about the ferrying of warplanes across the North Atlantic from Newfoundland to the U.K. by civilian pilots. But the production is rather amateurish. I was embarrassed for Richard E. Grant to be in a production where most of the actors give amateur performances.

This movie was ok. Jason Priestley in only in the film for 10 min or so. Don't get the movie to see him. The acting was alright. It is a good history movie and you learn something new about the war. All-in-All it was an ok movie.
