Chainsaw Sally (2004) Reviews

Chainsaw Sally (2004)
Member Rating:
An outwardly timid, small-town librarian who was forced to watch as her parents were brutally butchered sets out to punish the murderers responsible for the heinous crime in a blood-drenched tale of revenge featuring appearances by horror legends Gunnar Hansen and Herschell Gordon Lewis. Sally Diamon was just ten years old when her parents were slaughtered right before her very eyes, and to this day she can still hear them screaming when she lies down to sleep. In the wake of that gruesome crime Sally was forced to raise her younger brother to the best of her abilities. These days the locals around Porterville know Sally as a quiet and considerate girl, but what do the locals know? When the sun sets over Porterville the girl who seems so well-mannered during the daytime hours basks in grisly images of torture and violence - longing for the day that she will tear at the flesh of the men who took her parents. It seems that with each passing day the fire in Sally's eyes grows brighter and more intense. Tonight, under the shroud of darkness, the young girl will finally give in to the bloodlust that has threatened to consume her body and soul as she sets out to rid Porterville of evil by acting as judge, jury, and sadistic executioner. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Liz H. makes it clear she's a friend of the people who made this atrocious and insulting piece of junk. But, why she would go as far as giving this thing more then 1 star is mind-boggling. True friend's are honest with each other. Giving her friend's film 5 stars shows that she is not a friend at all. This thing was clearly shot on MiniDV with no discernible budget present. The "blood" they used looked more like strawberry syrup then anything resembling blood. I pray that the filmmakers will make real friends one day. Friends who will be honest enough to let them know when they have a tragedy on their hands. This film isn't even "funny-because -it's-bad". It's just plain bad. Don't waste your time. It will only make you angry.

This was an OK movie or maybe I've seen too many B movie horror. I think for most, do not see this movie. There are better B movies. I liked the idea of the librarian who was a serial killer. That idea could have worked for a horror slasher flick, but not so much here. They should have picked a real hot Chainsaw Sally though for the actress. That would have been more interesting. The secretary was hot. I think the town would have caught on to Sally's murderings though. If I were the police, even those in this film, I would probably believe the rich out of towner since he survived.

This movie is not good at all. I watched it for a few minutes and then fast forwarded through it because I didn't want to waste alot of time on this movie. The idea is good but it just didn't happen.

OK, so it was a micro budget movie. So what? I think people making low budget indies deserve the highest praise. It is an incredible amout of work to make an indie film ( I know from experience ). Indies are pure, free from the big-budget marketing-imposed censorship which compromises so many films. Yeah, there were weak parts, but there was also a lot of imagination and fun in this film. I enjoyed it and I hope they make a sequel!

Okay so yeah. I don't know WHY this movie is only rated 2 stars. It is a great movie that was filled right where i from. Maryland. Infact, Chainsaw Sally [[April Burill]] Is my best friend's stepmother and my best friend, Lilli's dad wrote the whole movie and directed it and Lilli plays younger Sally. The cast is great and I hope you check out this movie. I've seen it twice. I just watched it today with my friends infact.
