A woman haunted by the childhood car crash that claimed the life of her mother and father finds her worst nightmares coming true when she and her therapist travel back to the scene of the accident in this tale of terror originally released as part of the After Dark Horrorfest. Penny (Rachel Miner) has never quite been able to shake off the trauma of seeing her mother and father perish when their car careened out of control on a long and lonely stretch of highway, and now her therapist (Mimi Rogers) is determined to help the fragile girl overcome her lingering fear of automobiles. But as much as Penny might hope to overcome her oppressive phobia, she is about to discover that there is indeed very much to dread on this remote mountain pass as a murderous hitchhiker emerges from the chilly, high-altitude fog to prey on the frightened girl's darkest fears. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

If you prefer creepy over gore and hump-scares, then you just might enjoy this intense, fairly-unpredictable flick. The entire thing takes place within a car (with a few exceptions). So if you are claustrophobic in the slightest, that helps increase the tension for the viewer (it did for me). this is by far one of the best films that played in the After Dark Film Festival.

creepy and keeps you on the edge of your seat. would of gave a higher rating but seems like it drags on a little and ending was kind of stupid and abrupt.

the beginning of the movie was just like the name, "DREADFUL", i dont know which was worse, penny's non-stop whining or her nauseating therapist. the 2nd half definitely picked up which made it worth watching. not the best, but not the worst.

uh . . . to Christina R. I don't think it took a genius to write your review either. First, I read the reviews before watching a movie so spoiling it by giving away "twists", however bad you may think they are, is inconsiderate. Secondly, you really need to learn how to spell. Are you smarter than a fifth grader?

The movie was watchable, not an all time great but not a total snore fest.

This movie is the worst movie i have ever seen. This movie wasn't released to the public before because it was "too scary" it wasn't released because it SUCKED. Save your brain cells and rent a movie worth watching! I love scary movies, but this movie didn't scare me one bit. It was SO boring that i fell asleep!
