The Halifax Bomber turned out to be one of the most influential British aircraft during World War II, but the remarkably versatile machines proved impractical after the war ended. While over 6,000 were produced, only three still remain in existence at the time this documentary was made. This academic-quality DVD follows the halifax through all major revisions, objectively discussing the positives and negatives of the aircraft and how the RAF continued to improve the type (including behind-the-scenes military-industrial-political wrangling.) Extensive interviews with aircrew. This is how aircraft video should be done.
