Released at the height of his popularity on Family Ties and in the wake of Back to the Future and Teen Wolf, Michael J. Fox stars in this "country boy in the big city" comedy, directed by Herbert Ross. After making the move from Kansas to New York City, Brantley Foster (Fox) secures a job in the mailroom at his uncle's large corporation. Doffing any plans of working his way up the corporate ladder the old fashioned way, Brantley begins impersonating an executive to impress a high-ranking female co-worker, played by Helen Slater. Once his oversexed aunt enters the mix, Brantley finds himself juggling two identities, two jobs, and two women. ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi

This is honestly one of my all time favorite movies. A great comedy of mistaken identity.

It's simply a good movie. Not necessarily an Oscar winner but it's gentle, fun, innocent in its own ways, but above all it's the moment in time I remember seeing it for the first time.

Michael J. Fox at his finest - next to the Back to the Future series. One of my favorite all time movies, they just don't make them like this anymore. One of 2 movies that made me want to go into "business" when I grew up . . .

A commentary of the hierarchal struggles of the business world disguised as a romantic comedy? It's a fast pace, hilarious adventure as one guy improvises his books smarts to get to the top of the company. Slater's character was not convincing as a bookworm hottie who falls in love at first sight (really?) with our hero. But Whitton's supersexy "aunt" Vera totally invigorates the film when Fox slows down a bit. The supporting characters are no slouches neither, including Mercedes Ruehl's eccentric waitress.

I love this movie. It is a classic. Fox is a great actor and the story is great. I could watch this every Saturday.

This version is not for wide screen TVs. It is the old 4x3 Letterboxed version. Watching it on a widescreen TV gives bars on the top, bottom and sides--A little picture in the middle of your set.

It is still relevant to today to all of those layoffs.

My all time favorite! The plot is very inspiring! The movie shows that confidence goes a long long way in addition to hard work and selective politicizing!

This is a cute older movie when Michael J Fox was young.
