A naïve group of National Guard trainees embark on a routine training mission in the New Mexico desert, only to find themselves face to face with a murderous band of cannibalistic mutants in prolific music video director Martin Weisz's sequel to the successful 2006 remake. An isolated desert research camp has been mysteriously abandoned, and now it's up to an elite unit of soldiers to uncover the truth about the scientists who vanished without a trace. Their attention soon diverted by a distress signal emitting from a distant mountain range, the squadron quickly regroups and sets out to investigate. Unbeknownst to the soldiers, however, is the fact that these are the very same hills where the Carter family recently fell prey to a flesh-eating pack of hideously deformed mutants. As the ranks of the cavalry unit steadily begin to dwindle, it soon becomes obvious that their guns provide little defense from an evil driven by hunger to commit the ultimate crime against humanity. Original Hills Have Eyes and Hills Have Eyes, Part 2 writer/director Wes Craven teams with son Jonathan to script this grim and unforgiving tale of man versus mutant. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

The idea to go back into the hills was a good idea story wise. But a good idea can only take you so far if you cant develope it. This was a real bad movie. The first was a fright fest but this one was pretty lame. You set the movie up but then have these Military goofs hike threw the hills looking for someone for hours. Just a really bad movie. Bad acting. Some make you jump parts, but overall you feel a little less scared by the time the movie is over.

This movie was all about the gore. The actors didn't have much development, but the storyline did seem to fit the part of a slasher flick. Overall this was an average scary movie, it seemed that because of the success of the first movie, Hollywood wanted to cash in on all the gore fans that would pay to see this. Expect more Hills movies to be made in the near future, most likely, they'll be poor gore flicks trying to compete with the success of the original title.

In all honesty this was a pretty good movie. Aside from some poor acting and dialouge the movie moved along quite well.

This movie was mediocre. I wouldnt go out and say it's terrific, as I've seen many reviews, nor would I write it's awful. It really was just ok. There were some scary parts, but there were some pretty ridiculous scenes (such as the "good" cannibal). What bothered me most was that the little pretty girl and the wussy guy end up being the main characters. Why does it always come to that? Anyways, decent movie, but nowhere near the first one!

...HAMLET?!? This was a good old-fashioned bad horror movie. Chicks with nice racks, bunch of doofi-but-buffed males, mutant zombie monster things, whole deal. First one was a bit scarier, I'd say, but this one at least had a plot and decent production values. If you like gore and over-the-top everything else, check it out. Kills a night...and maybe something MORE! Bwahahahahahahahaha.... Bill "what I want to know is if that one babe is pregnant (sequel?!?)" S.

This is totally new storyline than the original Hills Have Eyes Part 2 and is very dissappointing. There is no real link to part 1 so you meet all new characters that are very underdeveloped. Basic plot mutants vs. Army. Who will win? Not scary in the least bit. Some gore, but adds no real value.

well, as I can see....I see a lot of people crying nd whining! Yes, the firs one was great, but I bet the 3rd one will be the best. If you're not a teenage person, don't watch it. A lot of old folks have left a lot of negative and they are ruining the fun for the rest of us. I though it was a good mvoie overall.

I love horror movies it's just about the only thing I watch. The Hills Have Eyes Part One, is a great movie. I have probably watched it at least 25 times. This movie just cannot even be compared, in my opinion. I didn't find it scary in the least. The gentleman who plays the drill seargent is horrible and the scripting leaves much to be desired. Big dissapointment.

The first was not ever comparable to this crap. It was terrible. Don't waste your time. I'd rather cut my toe nails.

Obviously the director didn't know anything about the US military. The only thing that remotely resembled something of truth with the National Guard was some of the uniform items. The movie showed serious breakdowns in military discipline that just do not occur. I'm in the military and have been in many combat and other difficult situations; we're too well trained to fall apart like the movie portrays. The scenes where the Colonel is the security is not reality. The Iraq training the movie portrays is ridiculous. And once again this kind of movie seriously degrades women and is just stupid. Not worth money being spent on.

The military made this film dull. It was okay but i wanted them all to die.

I actually liked this one better than the first. More people are slaughtered and it's much more gory. Does it have a great storyline, build relationships, develop characters ... NO! But we don't typically look for that in horror films and this does have what we expect from horror ... blood, guts, lost limbs, screams, rape, fear ... HORROR.
