Member Rating:
The television series Ponderosa was a prequel to the legendary Western series Bonanza. This box set contains nine episodes of Ponderosa. Each is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but fans of the show will enjoy the straightforward presentation offered on these DVDs. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide

I love this show as a huge fan of the original Bonanza this prequel is really cool. Adam is 21, Hoss is 17 and little Joe is only 12. After they lose thier Ma they build the Ponderosa and have many adventures. The acting is really good for all newcomers playing the boys and Daniel Hugh Kelly is really tuff as ben Cartwright. Even if you never saw the original Bonanza I think anybody adults and kids alike will enjoy this wholesome family show that teaches good values and doing whats right even when it feels wrong. Trust me you'll like and feel good about youreself afterwards. Long live the good ole western Days!!!!!!
