Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins took a turn behind the camera for the first time since 1996's August with this mind-bending fantasy that he also wrote and stars in. Hopkins plays Felix Bonhoeffer a screenwriter with a habit of getting lost in his own head. Kept waiting for the movie to make sense, have a twist, something. It was painful to endure to the end. It tried to float between past, present and future, between the mind of the writer and the characters about whom he wrote. Missed on every possible front.

This movie ranks up there with Last Days, another movie that tried to show the thoughts of someone losing their mind. The couple of reviewers that thought this movie was good are obviously losing their mind. It does not work no matter how you look at it. Granted Christian Slater gave a good performance and Anthony Hopkins is a great actor, but, just because he was knighted does not mean he can write and direct a good movie. It was not entertaining or insightful and was painful to watch all these talented actors come together and put out such a terrible movie.

THAT HAD TO BE THE WORST MOVIE I EVER SAW. IT WAS CONFUSING, REALLY HARD TO FOLLOW, AND HAD NO PLOT TO IT, AS FAR AS I COULD TELL. BIG WASTE OF MY TIME.

Could not watch but 10 minutes of this movie, ALOT of good actors in this movie, but it just didnt make any sense, it was too flighty and just could not grasp any logic what so ever as to see where this movie was going....i didnt like it at all, very disappointed, would not buy it, and probably would pass if someone tried to give me a copy..sorry
