Forest Whitaker, Dennis Quaid, William Hurt, and Matthew Fox star in director Pete Travis' Rashomon-style thriller in which an assassination attempt on the president of the United States is detailed from five unique perspectives. As the president arrives in Salamanca, gunshots ring out. An American tourist (Whitaker) has captured footage of the would-be assassin on videotape, and now, as the stories of the other four witnesses unfold, each essential piece of the puzzle quickly falls into place. Only when all of the stories are told will the chilling truth to this shocking crime finally emerge. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
So-so. Good potential, interesting approach. Good for a one-time through. Quaid's character shows the determination of a classic Harrison Ford-Bruce Willis Fugitive/Die Hard, which was neat, but most of the movie is pretty sad.
An entertaining, action-packed film. It has its share of twists and turns, but never quite ties it all together - it ends, but without answering some of the over-arching questions that emerge from the action (and they are not debatable things, like the ending of Inception). Basically, it was entertaining without being excellent.
One good movie, not the best I've ever seen but pretty good, it is just one BIG surprise the whole way!!! But the ending was a HUGE surprise. I think you should go rent it then if you do like it buy it then. I liked it i won't watch it right away but i will again sometime. Dennis Quaid was perfect for this part.
