Forest Whitaker, Dennis Quaid, William Hurt, and Matthew Fox star in director Pete Travis' Rashomon-style thriller in which an assassination attempt on the president of the United States is detailed from five unique perspectives. As the president arrives in Salamanca, gunshots ring out. An American tourist (Whitaker) has captured footage of the would-be assassin on videotape, and now, as the stories of the other four witnesses unfold, each essential piece of the puzzle quickly falls into place. Only when all of the stories are told will the chilling truth to this shocking crime finally emerge. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
One good movie, not the best I've ever seen but pretty good, it is just one BIG surprise the whole way!!! But the ending was a HUGE surprise. I think you should go rent it then if you do like it buy it then. I liked it i won't watch it right away but i will again sometime. Dennis Quaid was perfect for this part.
We've watched it twice. Enjoyed it both times. We really enjoy the varied peerspective and the gradual story expansion. Well done. Dennis Quaid is perfect for the part.
If you don't mind the repeated re-winding of a story (a presidential assasination) done from several (maybe one too many) viewpoints, you are in for a treat of a surprise story twists and turns. Definitely entertaining!
Just saw this movie and loved it. It keeps you guessing. At first when they showed the flashbacks I thought it was going to be redundant but its not at all! Can't believe I overlooked this movie when it first came out.
Unfortunate plat gimmick playing the same period in time over and over again, but I guess it kinda worked. The ending was also a little too clean....for all the mess leading up to it.
