Blood Ranch (2006)
Member Rating:
In the stomach-turning tradition of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hostel, and Jeepers Creepers comes the direct-to-video slasherfest Blood Ranch, starring James Fitzpatrick, Madeleine Lindley, Dayton Knoll, and Daniel O'Meara. A group of co-eds on a cross-country desert journey save a young woman from an imposing black van. Shortly afterward, their car mysteriously breaks down and they are forced to seek asylum at a nearby ranch. Little do they realize that it houses denizens of "The Web" -- a twisted allegiance of psychopaths, sexual predators, and mentally impaired subhuman maniacs who devote their lives to finding unsuspecting young men and women to systematically imprison, torture, and dismember. Their latest captors will be forced to claw their way out in a bloody battle to the death -- if they hope to ever see the outside world again. Corbin Timbrook directs, from a script by Antonio Hernandez. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

This movie was OK. Just was expecting something with even more gore, nudity, horror, suspense, etc. Was kind of a let down after reading the storyline and thinking it would be good.

Plot is typical of a slice and dice flick. What is different is that there is some funny dialogue amidst the carnage.

This movie was compared to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. It is more like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on a welfare budget. It is completely awful and very poorly written, acted and executed. It is absolutely not worth wasting 82 minutes on.

I rarely write reviews on movies. But, this one was so bad I had to warn others. Just as I wish someone else WARNED me!!!!!! Movie is beyond cheesy. NOT scary. More less demented. Nothing like Texas Chainsaw or Jeepers Creepers as it claims.

Above average production values for a low-budget slasher/redneck/pyscho DTV flick, but still not worth a rent. And that idiot character, Spider, irritated the hell out of me. He looked like a redneck David Lee Roth and had the most ridiculous retarded lisp. Was he supposed to be scary? Not even close. BTW, I would have given this film a better rating if it at least had some nudity in it, especially from the hot Madeleine Lindley. But, like most horror films these days, there was no nudity at all. Plenty of bra and panty scenes, but you can see that on TV so why waste your cash? Skip this.

This movie sucks, boring, do not rent.... A waste of time.....HIlls Have Eyes part 1 or 2, Hey, even Wrong Turn part 1 and 2 was better than this crap. Hey even, grindhouse planet terror, was alot more entertaining than this sad movie... DO NOT RENT THIS AT ALL. RENT ANY ONE OF THE ABOVE FIRST, especially if you really like blood, guts, and gore...
