A determined California detective attempts to crack one of the most mysterious cases in modern crime as the tale of the fearsome Zodiac Killer comes to the screen in director Alexander Bulkley's cinematic account of the crimes that rocked San Francisco's Bay Area from December 1968 to October of the following year. As the citizens of the small California town of Vallejo prepare for their holiday celebrations, the discovery that two teens have been viciously gunned down at a remote lover's lane leaves the citizens of a once tight-knit community fearing for their lives. In the months that follow the brutal crimes, Vallejo police inspector Matt Parish devotes his entire existence to revealing the identity of the elusive killer and ensuring that no more innocent lives are taken. With pressure from both his superiors and the local press mounting, lack of sufficient evidence and increased tensions at home lead Inspector Parish down a series of frustrating dead-end roads. When the killer strikes yet again, this time shooting a young couple in a darkened parking lot, investigators are shocked to receive a phone call from a man confessing to the crime. A letter sent to the local newspapers by the confessed killer states that if it is not published, a dozen more people will die in the coming weekend. Even more curiously, the letter contains a mysterious code that, if deciphered correctly, will supposedly reveal the true identity of the man behind these shocking crimes. Though a suspect is questioned following yet another killing, this time in broad daylight, the frustrated police department fails to make an arrest as the elusive killer continues to taunt both the police and the media with a series of menacing letters. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Please come kill me Zodiac man... was what I was wishing so the pain of this boring high school film project would end!

If you are a crime buff, you will find it interesting. It is a long movie, so we took 2 nights to watch the DVD.

I wasn't impressed with this movie. It had great potential but did not deliver as you would imagine it would. It was pretty much even paced throughout which made me keep waiting for it to get going. Unfortunately it never did. I'm not saying this film is horrible because there are MUCH worse out there but it just wasn't at all what I expected and it left me disappointed.

Lackluster acting and not cohesive at all. Had the potential to be an interesting movie.

No 'brand name' actors in this film, but definitely worth a look if you're into crime movies.

This was not much different than reading a newspaper written about the actual Zodiac killer. The only difference was seeing the killings occur. There was very little plot very little story line. I would not recommend this movie. Simply go to the internet and read about the Zodiac serial killer.

Being a fan of true crime stories, I was intrigued when I came across this one sitting by its lonesome on the shelf. In short, don't waste your time on the disappointing result. The movie zips through with no character development and not a hint really of just what was going on behind the Zodiac killings. No theories, no suspense and a plot so formulary that you'd swear you just got done watching a Lifetime made-for-tv script. In contrast to this, a few episodes from Court TV bring more to the table than this mundane script.

I haven't watched this movie all the way because I keep falling asleep on it. I will finish watching (hopefully) before I take it back but I must say this movie has the potential like all the other reviews say but it just doesnt carry it our all the way.

There was nothing new about the case, just his story. What was the point?
