A wacky teenage sex comedy of the sort that proliferated in the mid-1980s, this farce is notable for featuring two lead actors who would go on to bigger and better things. Rob Morrow and Johnny Depp star as Ben and Jack, respectively, teen buddies who are on the sexual prowl for beautiful, wealthy girls at a posh Miami resort where they are weekend guests. Also on the prowl is The Maestro (Hector Elizondo), a skilled jewel thief who evades detection by cross-dressing as a woman while he pursues the diamond necklace of society woman Amanda Rawlings (Dody Goodman). When they accidentally run afoul of the Maestro, Ben and Jack suddenly have their hands full. Private Resort was the third in a series of comic teen sex romps from producer R. As a huge Johnny Depp fan, really enjoyed seeing this very early offering. He has come a long way, talentwise. This film is amusing if you aren't looking for anything more than a sophmoric romp; reminded me somewhat of "Weekend at Bernie's".

I saw this movie years ago when I was a teenager.. and just saw it again..it wasn't as good as I remember although there were some parts that were very funny. its worth the rent if you wanna laugh..or if your really into breast...I'm not but the 2 main characters i'm into :)

Johnny Depp is fortunate to have been discovered having started his career in shallow, stupid, dumb comedies like this one -- fotunately for all movie goers and Depp fans, he became more choosy about his movies and his stunning talent shone past stinkers like this one. Not that anyone else in the film is heard of much anymore. Of course, Johnny is Johnny and he's a knockout in the film, but the film is an absolute, total, tasteless dud from the 80's.

I laughed out loud (not LOL) but busted up during some of the scenes, only to grimace at the sophomoric nature of other scenes. But that is 80s teen sex comedies for you. They don't seem to make sense as an adult in 2007. At any rate, if you are a Johnny Depp fan (which I'm not), you will like this - one of his early movies. Other now famous actors include Hector Elizondo and Andrew Dice Clay. Plenty of eye candy, too- the T&A is one of the best parts about this poorly directed comedy. Make some popcorn or grab a beer and then watch this goofy comedy about two guys getting into unbelievable situations as their paths intersect with beautiful women, a diamond thief, and hotel security.

Okay okay, so its an 80's sexploition flick...but its got johnny depp and rob morrow!! Had it been any two other guys, it would of been forgotton about eons ago. but johnny and rob make this so much better than it is. All i can tell you is watch this with an open mind and a large bowl of popcorn!!
