This provocative, highly atmospheric horror movie tells the tale of a young girl who is terrified that her insane mother will take her away from her beloved foster mother. One day, the crazed real mother attempts to contact the girl at school, but her foster mother has a premonition and gets there in time to protect the girl. Eventually though, the real mother and her terrifying boy friend, a carnival clown, succeed and whisk her away, leaving the bereaved foster parents to enlist the assistance of a parapsychologist to help them interpret the foster mother's terrifying dreams and psychic connection to the girl and find her before it is too late. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

I keep trying to rent this film but blockbuster keeps sending out the 2004 Japanese horror film with the same name. I saw this movie a very long time ago and remember it being creepy though I am sure in todays sandards It's a very campy horror. I would like it revisit the film but....

Convulated plot and bad acting. Based on synopsis, expected much more. Once I checked the DVD extras and listened to director's description, the mess suddenly was explained . RObert Scnhitzer purchased a screenplay about a couple attempting to get back their child....and rewrote the script to add the "parapsychology" factor into the mix...the latter making absolutely no sense. Two hours out of my life I will never get back. Leave this release on the shelf and rent something more satisfying!
