Pastor Jones (2004) Reviews

Pastor Jones (2004)
Member Rating:
Jean Claude LaMarre's Pastor Jones concerns a woman who, after being inspired by a sermon from the title character, leaves her abusive husband. The pastor provides her with a place to stay and a job, causing some parishioners to gossip about their relationship. Her husband is at first incensed about her leaving, but he also gets some wisdom and grace after being exposed to one of the pastor's sermons. They are able to reconcile, thanks in large part to Pastor Jones. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

The Message In This Movie Is The Purpose For This Movie. There Should Be More Movies Like This One That Can Send A Positive Message To All That See It. It Doesn't Matter That The Movie Budget Wasn't The Top Of The Line. It Still Accomplished Revealing Today's Reality And Letting It's Viewers Know There Is Hope And Change For Their Situations. Two Thumbs Up From Robbin J.

I should have read the other reviews FIRST! This movie took a good idea and ruined it with bad acting, singing and plot. Many times one looks for uplifting movies for enjoyment but we still need quality!

Poor Story and Character Development...Poor Character Turn-Around (the husband becomes a completely different person with a new voice to match in under a month)...the storyline of the temptation to 'relate' b/ pastor and girl wasn't well played...the preaching was even terrible - just a plain BAD MOVIE!!!

This movie had a good ending but as a whole this movie was terrible. The acting was like watching a high school play.

You've got to be kidding! I trusted these reviews. What a low budget movie. To read the synopsis of what the movie is about it sounds really good. The acting is terrible. This movie consists of full sermons and someone from the choir always sings an entire church song. I can't believe you'd think anyone would like this if they enjoyed Coach Carter. No comparison - don't waste your time unless it's a church sermon you're looking for.
