Simple plot(done before) , yet the action sequences are rather very well done and entertaining. The gunfights are NOT ceesy as one other stated, but more of a in your face, that's gotta hurt gunshots. The fight scences are intense and some are overboard, but knowing no wires or cgi were being used makes up for it. It's like Jackie Chan without the comedy. Speaking of Jackie Chan, this is the first Dragon Dynasty movie I've seen that does not have a cameo by him.

There are some amazing stunts, but the fight scenes themselves were nowhere near as impressive as in Ong Bak or the Protector. The plot and the acting are not very good, but that is expected. Did they hold together well enough to sell the action sequences? Not quite. I would still rate this highly as a mindless action movie, if not for the violence. There is some gunfighting that gets out of hand, and does not fit with the lighter bits like the soccer player who kicks a ball at the bad guys. The gunfighting is not escapist, nor does it help to tell the story. I do not mind violence when it is part of the story--I liked the Wild Bunch because the violence works for the movie.

this is without a doubt one of the best fighting movies out their. No strings or actors that are scarred to get hurt have some other guy come and do the stunt for them, notice how in most movies whenever a good stunt is done we can never see the actors face why, because he is looking form up above while a no name stunt double does it for him so he wont get hurt. Here is an action packed with great fight scenes movie and their are people bringing it down, then they must not be REAL martial arts fans go back to the world of sci fi and think a real human can dodge a bullet are glide in the air and then kick 5 minutes later as for this movie and the protector watch them

The plot is very simplistic. A bunch of athletes go to a remote village for some relief/aid work when the village gets over-run by evil military elements, who also posses to make things interesting, a nuclear missile. After many brutal killings and upon learning that the militants will launch a nuclear attack on Bangkok, the team decides to take back the town (the catalyst is a patriotic song that plays on the radio). Each athelete uses their skills as a fighting style. Not much mui-thai here, except for a few moves by a small girl and an old man - which made my eyes well up. It definitely has a few "ow, that must have hurt!" and "damn, a few inches off and he could have been dead or crippled!", scenes. Try not to compare this to Ong-bak or Tom Yum Gong and you'll enjoy this movie. Its made with stunt-men, not actors, and if you consider that, they did a pretty decent job.

Was this movie an ode to Tai gymnastics? Some great action sequences. Bad acting. Bad plot. And the last scene made absolutely no sense at all.

Very slow to get going and once it did, it was more like a farce than anything else. If you are thinking about getting this just because the movie The Protector was mentioned on the back, then I'll save you the same mistake that I made. This film is more Pretender than Protector.

This was so bad that i couldn't even force myself to watch till the end. I normally can withstand bad movies, but this was way bad. Cheezy gun & fight scenes, directing, acting, the whole thing is super cheezy. Nothing compared to OngBak, even worst than the Protector, then again the Protector was awful too excect it had some descent fight scenes.
