When a diverse group of lifelong friends comes together to celebrate the marriage of devoted couple Elise (Amy Adams) and Michael (Adam Garcia), the mixed-up relationships of the past pave the road to a weekend no one is likely to soon forget in the feature debut from filmmaker Matthew Cole Weiss. The setting is Los Angeles, CA, and the event is the wedding between a man and a woman who always seemed destined to be together. Unfortunately, all relationships can't be as healthy as Elise and Michael's is, and though best man and maid of honor Rich (Aaron Stanford) and Samantha (Melissa Sagemiller) seem to be preparing to take the plunge, the same certainly cannot be said for neurotic actress Lana (Mena Suvari). A free-spirited soul who has experienced flings with a variety of wedding attendees including the hapless Pockets (Jon Abrahams), alcoholic actor Simon (James Van Der Beek), and manic children's television program host Donovan (Ethan Embry), Lana attempts to sort out her past flings as lovelorn agent Quentin (Colin Hanks) pines for the bride's sister and the estranged father of the groom attempts to reconnect with his long-lost son. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

This movie was pretty boring. I was hoping to laugh a lot more then I did (did I?). It was pretty nice to see some actors I haven't watched in awhile. I might be getting old and not catching the humor anymore, but I would watch American Pie anyday over thsi movie. I wouldn't recommend this movie.

Ridiculous comments on profane language aside, this is just a pretty horrible movie in general. If you enjoy predictable plot lines, CONFUSION, random G rated lesbian kissing scenes and falling asleep within the first 15 minutes of a film - this gem is for you.

Standing Still was pretty funny, it kind of reminded me of American Pies/Wedding because there was a lot of sex talk/sex and a set of lesbian lovers. I liked American Wedding so I liked this one too. It's story line could use a little work but it flowed fairly well and kept my family laughing throughout.

My husband and I really did like this movie, thought at first it wasn't going to be good but turned out really good, thought the acting was good as well, would recommend to watch!!!

In the first 30 minutes most of the words started with "F". I am certainly no prude but that was a definite turn off so I did just that - turned it off and returned to Blockbuster! What a waste of a movie and my time.

Good at times. Boring and predictable at others. Not sure which occurred more. Probably will watch it again though to find out.

Nothing special. Ok if nothing else is available.

I guess this is supposed to be a chick flick with some nude chicks tossed in for the guys. The acting is fine, kinda like an R rated episode of Friends. Not much of a comedy, didn't laugh once.

This movie was in very poor taste if you weren't prepared for lesbian scenes and heavy sexual references and nudity. There was no warning of this in the description. We couldn't make it through half of it, it was really bad and certainly not funny in any way. We expected a cute comedy and instead this movie bordered on porn.

Very disappointed. Turned the movie off after 15 minutes because of the extreme use of swear words. Real people do not talk like this.
