Read More This is an excellent look into the Rwandan crisis and what happened in 1994. The truth of what happened there is not pleasant and the story does not unravel in a pleasing manner. Yet it is something that everyone should watch (not children though) as a lesson in history and humanity. Despite the horrific nature of the film, there is a happy ending to the movie in a sense as you see the survivors of the crisis who have moved on to create a life for themselves after undergoing unimaginable horrors. It is hard to watch the killing but this is a must see movie. The storyline and acting are excellent. You must see this movie to better understand what has as well as what continues to go on. This is a real look at the darkside of human nature be it political or religious. The saddest part of all is we continue to turn our heads away from the realities of life, even today. Hard to watch this movie due to all the violence but you will be rewarded by an excellent piece of filmworki. Not for children! You must watch the ending credits to see and hear the stories about the real life survivors. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Great movie with extraordinary actors. Movie was made possible by people who were there, who we found out were victims of the genocide in one way or another. Filmed entirely in Rwanda.
