The Dark Knight faces off against the Dark Prince when Dracula arrives in Gotham with a nefarious plan to enslave the entire city -- including Batman, The Joker, and Penguin -- in this animated, feature-length adventure. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
I just saw this cartoon movie today and I was pretty much blown away from the get go :) I love how the story was paced and the over all feel of the movie was really scary. You feel like you're watching a crossover of Bram Stoker's Dracula and Batman Returns. lol! Very dark and a little bit scary (for the younger audience i'd say). I highly recommend this to every Batman fans.
I did not know what to expect but I was really please with the direction they took with this movie. It was packed with cool fighting scenes and carried a dark tone that fitted the dark knight perfectly.
Alright, its Dave's son again with another review!
This movie is a total must see! Fans of the Batman universe or not (like my father), you're in for a really good one!
At first glance, I must say I had doubts about this one. But, after half of this, I was blown away. The movie gives you a sort of Horror-movie feel that is completely new to the Batman franchise in terms of the cartoons, but adds comedic twists randomly (like vampire Joker) to liven it up a bit. Again, even my father was wowed by this movie (he doesn't like a lot of animated movies) and thought it was one of the best he's seen.
Overall, if you're looking for a great horror themed movie or simply a flat out awesome Dark Knight movie, find this one!
This is a definate 5/5 stars in my book!
The Batman animated style is from the series that came after the early 90s "Batman: The Animated Series" which won awards for it's quality and maturity level. I thought the villains from the newer series seemed a bit more on the insane side, and that's probably why this animated full-length feature turned out so well. I hope that more scary Batman features are released soon. Batman would be great battling it out with the werewolf. I remember a lycanthrope episode from the original series.
