The Dark Shadows DVD collections can be confusing. Here's what I've learned. The DVDs listed here as "Dark Shadows: Season 01, 02, 03 etc." are old VHS titles that are NOT representative of the DVD series. " Dark Shadows - The Beginning" collections 1 thru 6, start with episode 1 and deal the Collins family before the appearance of Barnabas Collins, the vampire. "Dark Shadows - DVD Collection" 1 thru 26 cover the rest of the series, with vampires, witches and other nasty creatures. This is the best part of the series. For up to date info on the episodes available on DVD, see http://www.darkshadowsdvd.com
