During her 25th high school class reunion, middle-aged Peggy Sue (Kathleen Turner) tries to forget her marital problems with husband Charlie (Nicolas Cage) by renewing old friendships. Wondering if she made the right decisions in her life, Peggy Sue gets a chance to try again when, zapped into a time warp, she finds herself a teenager back in 1960. Armed with foreknowledge (the scene in which she tells off her algebra teacher is a particular treat), Peggy Sue gets to retrace the steps leading up to her unhappy marriage to high-school sweetheart Charlie. Will nerdish Richard Norvik (Barry Miller), who always carried a torch for Peggy Sue and whom she knows will become a millionaire computer mogul by 1985, win out over the unreliable Charlie this time? A "small" film from the otherwise profligate Francis Ford Coppola, Peggy Sue Got Married possesses an irresistible charm that makes up for its glaring plot deficiencies. A really Great one. Funny to see how Nicholas Cage looks, from then to now. Big difference. He still has it though. All the actors. I forgot Jim Carrey was in this one. Oh the memories. Another good one for a rainy day, and one the kids should see. "Why I Oughta" have a great laugh

To me 5 stars means you can enjoy this movie more than once. I have many times. Peggy time travels to the 50's to sort out her life and romance. The audience is treated to 50's stuff that I grew up with even the refrigerator. Heck I'm time traveling too. Anyway the story is sweet and cute. Most will like it at least once. If you are my age, you might as well buy a copy.

Kathleen Turner is terrific as a 40 year old miraculously transported back in time as an 18 year old. She remains 40 physically and emotionally but no one notices. She wants desperately to change her past in order to change her future. If we had the chance to change our past- would we? Could we? Or is left up to destiny? We go on a funny, tormented journey with Peggy until she returns to her future.

A Great Movie. Chuck sings the title song. Cage, Turner, Carrey were still teeny boppers. Helen Hunt must must have been about 17. Enjoy the 50's cars!!!

Please note that this disc is the atrocious full-screen/ pan'n scan. If I wanted to watch this drek, I'd turn on the TV. Where is the WIDE-SCREEN version folks????
