Bob Dylan: 1966-1974 World Tours - Through the Camera of Barry Feinstein (2004)
Member Rating:
Joel Gilbert's documentary Bob Dylan: World Tours 1966-1974 utilizes the photographs of Barry Feinstein to tell the tale of this productive portion of Dylan's lengthy career. Paying special attention to the legendarily hostile 1966 tour in which Dylan played as much electric rock & roll as he did acoustic folk music, the film also chronicles his 1974 shows. Interviews with those who were a part of the scene help fill in the years between. This film does not contain live concert footage of Dylan, nor does it contain any Dylan music on the soundtrack. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

boring...NO FOOTAGE OF DYLAN. Gilbert spends too much time on himself and his hack dylan-cover band. doesn't even use dylan in the soundtrack. poor writing, poor production, poor editing, etc... very low budget... gilbert the wannabe dylan is pitiful.

Don't recommend this one. A few good pictures of Bob Dylan. The opening 30 minutes was dull.

Joel Gilbert is nothing more than an obsessed Bob Dylan fan that lives vicariously though Bob’s “friends” if you even could call them that. He interviews the locals in Woodstock, NY that once saw Bob in a coffee shop or other places through out the town. WHO CARES??? This documentary is nothing more than an outreach to other fans of Bob Dylan who wish to share their lame stories with one another. I watched the first 45 minutes, ejected it from my DVD player, wrapped it up and shipped it back to Blockbuster.
