A pair of orphaned teens experience an unexpected reunion with their parents in this fourth installment of the long-running Return of the Living Dead franchise. After a traffic accident kills his folks, high-school senior Julian (John Keefe) leads a more or less typical suburban life. Sure, he's a little depressed, and sure, his brother, Jake (Alexandru Geoana), has a problem with matches. But otherwise everything is business as usual. All of that changes when their friend Zeke (Elvin Dandel) is injured in a dirt-bike accident and rushed to the hospital. Although the authorities claim Zeke is dead, he's actually carted off to a secret laboratory by the evil Hybratech corporation, whose scientists plan to experiment on him with a chemical that can reanimate the dead. Unfortunately for Julian and Jake, their uncle Charles (Peter Coyote) is one of the bad guys -- and he's not above using members of his own family as test subjects. With a group of friends in tow, the boys must infiltrate Hybratech's lab, find Zeke, and fend off a horde of angry zombies. Filmed back to back in Romania and Ukraine with Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave, Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis premiered on the SciFi Channel cable network before receiving a DVD release. Both films were directed by Ellory Elkayem, who previously helmed Eight Legged Freaks. ~ Brian J. Dillard, Rovi

A movie like this should either be scary, gross, funny, or titilating. The first ROTLD was all those. This one is none of them. It was painfully dull, and the fact that the dead walked the earth was the most believable part of the movie. It's not consistent with the zombie rules other entries in the series established, or even with itself. Take it from a die-hard zombie fan: Skip this movie and just re-watch the original.

I think this is the first film where even the zombies act bad! They all walk like they are "trying to be zombies" but don't know how and they way they act when bullets hit them is hilarious! And since when can num-chucks and a zombie bite right through a skull with no problem? The only saving grace is it appears the order the director chose to kill of the characters was based on how poorly they acted. Don't waste your time.

This movie is really, really sad. From the plot, to the special effects (if you can call them that) to the acting class rejects. It looks as if this movie was made by some high school kids for a class project. I am a huge fan of zombie movies, but this one fails on all accounts. Don't waste your time on this one.

Ridiculous. Worse than cheesy B-movies. No reason at all to view this movie.

Blood: 1 1/2 Cheese Factor: 5 Acting: 1 1/2 Overall: 1 1/2 I was so made but not suprised this movie was so lame, this series should have ended after the second one, and that one wasen't even that good. In this film everyone knows what zombies are and that theres been all these outbreaks so you think the stupid mother f*ckers would know to shoot the zombies in the f*cking head nope not even one person did. The characters are so annoying theres the nerdy girl with pig tales who you just want to strangle theres the 'hot blonde' girl whose skin color is orange and shes dressed like a fruit loop....just avoid this one at all cost!

This movie was absolutely terrible. They build it up for you to see this kid's parents that were taken when they died...then they show them in use (they are uber zombie soldiers) and easily get blown up or electrocuted in 5 seconds. Also, how many zombie movies do we have to see where the actors carry machine guns and just unload bullets in to the zombie's chest? Even the 'highly trained' zombie containment teams do this. Very annoying. What a dumb, dumb movie. It was on the Sci-Fi channel as a straight to TV movie. I can see why.

I love the Living Dead Series, but this was a real bomb. Had potential, but failed misserably. Hope the next is worth watching!!

Either a zombie movie is scary or so bad, it's funny. This was sooooo incredibly bad that it was neither. just god awful.....don't waste your time. Take a good ole dump instead, better time management.
