A&E took the 6 hour mini series and cut it down to about 95 mins. They cut some serious stuff and it was more than enough to have me scratching my head a few times saying "what is going on?". It got so bad, I eventually turned off the movie about 30 minutes in. My advice: look for the complete set; what I understood was good and it seems worth the investment in time.

I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD WAR STORY AS WELL AND HELPFUL

good story, better if it was an updated movie. very long, but still held my interest most of the time. small parts of the story did not hold up well, but entertaining, some action, adventure and suspense

Michael York showed much versatility in playing double parts. He did a remarkable performance. Sorry to say, George Peppard looked old, not believable in the part he played. I'm sure their were agents that were older. But he didn't convince me in this flick.

Too little about the captured American flyer, but otherwise a good WWII yarn. George Peppard's part needed a younger man.

Two good actors totally miscast. I couldn't believe the Germans would've been so stupid. Good burlesque. I expected the cast to break out into a chorus of "Springtime for Hitler." The book was much better. Frank H.

I got bored. It lacked the drama that was so evident in Higgins's other book- turned- movie "The Eagles Have Landed"

I enjoyed it but you have to keep in touch where you are. It 's time and place changes move around a lot.

One of the worst Grade B movies I have seen. Cheezie make-up, bed staging and TOTALLY second rate. And Jack Higgens is such a fun writer, his efforst were totally butchered
