I Can Do Bad All by Myself was the first play by Tyler Perry to feature his soon-to-be-famous comedic creation Madea. The storyline concerns how Madea keeps her family from being torn apart when sisters begin acting selfishly. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi
What can I say Tyler Perry is a nut job...he is real he is funny and his work shows that he tries to do everything...writing, performing and researching with Christian love and kindness from an honest African American Family perspective.
Tyler Perry is so good at "keepin it real" that you just gotta laugh. I just love Madea! There should be such a character in every dysfunctional family, but alas the next best thing would be to make these Tyler Perry movies required viewing.
I have to admit that I didn't know much about Tyler Perry, so maybe it was a case of "renter beware". I thought that the stereotypes were broadly drawn and not very funny. I didn't know that there would be so much about religion in it. Bottom line, I was significantly disappointed.
