Samurai Cop (1989)
Member Rating:
When Japanese organized crime imbeds itself within LA, the police turn to one man to take down the deadly Yakuza -- Maniac Cop himself, Robert Z'Dar as Japanese authority and martial artist Joe Marshall, aka "The Samurai." With his fearless swagger and rock hard jaw, The Samurai tears a two-fisted hole through the mob and doesn't stop until the job is done. The director Amir Shervan preceded Samurai Cop by the cheap video classic Hollywood Cop in 1988. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

Where to begin... Samurai Cop is not a good movie. The acting, direction, script, special effects, editing, sound and hair are all on par with a high school play, minus the talent of high schoolers. To begin to disect the flaws in the "film" is to type till my fingers bleed. That said, if you're looking for a "so bad it's good" movie you need look no further. Watch for: - The lead's hair changing. It's a wig half the time (story goes that he cut his hair halfway through production) - Super effeminate waiter - Partner's facial reactions to the flirty nurse - Robert Z'Dar's face.
