A newly single father discovers his daughter is caught up in a web of evil in this thriller. David Callaway (Robert De Niro) has been left to raise his nine-year-old daughter, Emily (Dakota Fanning), on his own after the unexpected death of his wife. David is at first amused to discover that Emily has created an imaginary friend named "Charlie," but it isn't long before "Charlie" develops a sinister and violent side, and as David struggles with his daughter's growing emotional problems, he comes to the frightening realization that "Charlie" isn't just a figment of Emily's imagination. Hide and Seek also stars Famke Janssen, Dylan Baker, and Amy Irving. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
this is an interesting story with a neat little twist. at first, you think it is a horror story, maybe one about a haunted house. then at the end the director turns the tables on you, and you discover it is something quite different. well played and well acted and directed. scary with chills, thrills and frightening moments but worth watching till the end and even watching the 4 alternate endings.
This movie was ok.Here are six things I liked about this movie. 1.I love Dakota Fanning 2.It has a good twist to the ending. 3.It's a good scary movie. 4.It has a good story behind the movie. 5.John Polsen is a great director. 6.It's simi;ar to The Sixth Sense.
This movie is so full of holes it is like swiss cheese. Cop out ending. I gave it one star because Dakota Fanning is talented and very good at being creepy.
Robert DeNiro. Next time just go on vacation. Not an original "bone in it's body". It was "Hide and Seek" alright, see if you can find the movie it "ripped-off"!
