Pearl Jam: Live at the Garden (2003) Reviews

Pearl Jam: Live at the Garden (2003)
Member Rating:
Pearl Jam was one of the only bands from the grunge rock boom of the early '90s who not only survived the public's fading interest in the Seattle scene, but earned greater critical respect with the passage of time. Pearl Jam: Live at the Garden is a performance video that captures the band's memorable appearance at New York City's Madison Square Garden on July 8, 2003, and includes guest appearances from slide guitar wizard Ben Harper and punk rock legend the Buzzcocks. The 30-song set list includes "Do the Evolution," "Betterman," "Evenflow," "In My Tree," "Wishlist," "Spin the Black Circle," "Yellow Ledbetter," and many more. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The concert is great...however, the second half of it you will just have to imagine and assume that it is good. They only send you 1 out of the 2 discs. The end is the best part. I know, because I have seen it before. I wish I knew how the get them to send the other one. If you don't mind seeing half a show...go for it.

If you are going to rent this then you already like Pearl Jam and won't be disappointed with this disc. The problem is that Blockbuster calls the second half of the concert the "Bonus" disc. Oh there are bonus features on it but the two discs should be setup as a set. Then you would get both of them in your Q at the same time. Have fun viewing the concert. I wish I could have been there.

What a great set. From Wish List to Teenage Wasteland this two disk set is worth watching over and over. From the extra lyrics on wish list you really get the feeling that Eddie is singing to the people who love his music. Teenage Wasteland was fantastic, they turned the lights up and just, wow, what a show.

Relative PJ newbie here, and I *loved* this concert. I recognized only a handful of songs, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the whole thing. Don't miss Disc 2!

Disappointed with this one. All the big hits from 10 that made them...well they're not on this disc. I don't know who drew up the set list on this one, but they sure missed the mark.

This is definitely my favorite concert dvd. The only thing that is remotely better is seeing U2 3D in the theatre. I ended up buying this one. It's very well put together and the sound is great. Almost like being there. If you're a PJ fan, get this, but remember it's a 2 disc set. Enjoy!
